As captain for the northern route of Turul Moldovei, I helped coordinate a 90+ mile cross-country walk celebrating 20 years of Peace Corps service in Moldova. I worked with communities along the route to coordinate lodging, meals, and cultural exchange activities while communicating in Romanian and navigating the logistics of a multi-community initiative. The 15-day journey brought volunteers into 29 communities and created opportunities for connection, volunteerism, and cross-cultural exchange.
